Idiots on Motorcycles, a Monday Morning Special

I enjoy laughing.  A good laugh can really set the tone for the day… especially a Monday! And nothing makes me laugh more than idiots.  More specifically, idiots on motorcycles.

There is something about motorcycles that makes them act as amplifiers.  Cool guys on motorcycles seem even cooler (I mean, look at Erik Estrada).  And motorcycles seem to make stupid people seem even more idiotic.  It just seems to bring it out in them.  Every time I see a video like the ones below I’m left with one single thought…. “I sure hope that they have good insurance coverage.”

Here is a little assortment of some of my favorite “Idiots on Motorcycles.”  They’re all SFW and nothing too graphic.  Just a group of idiots trying to have a good time on a bike and getting slightly injured while doing it.

Enjoy!

1.  This guy apparently didn’t know that he was riding in the midst of other motorcycles, as evidenced by the fact that he just continues to accelerate until the moment of impact.  Either that, or he didn’t know that there he had the luxury of brakes.

2.  I really enjoy this one.  Particularly because this idiot, who had robbed a bank and exchanged hostages for a motorcycle, never once thought to himself “Maybe the police will try and stop me crashing into my shiny new bike.”  He does get 9.5 from the Spanish judge though for a double gainer.

3.  This one is like the joke where you can see the punchline coming all the way up the road.  The formula is simple: Idiot + Scooter + Centrifugal Force = Hilarious! Take a couple of seconds to get going, but it is sooooooooooo worth it!

4.  Next up for your viewing pleasure is the rare “Two-Fer.”  That’s right you get two idiots for the price of one.  While the first idiots fall is truly funny, it is the second idiots failure that is truly epic.

5.  There’s a lesson to be learned here… a couple actually.  1.  Burnouts can be cool, but if you mess it up, you will become epically uncool.  2.  To go over the order again, lay off the gas and THEN the brake.

6.  I can just hear this kid’s thought train saying “I’ve got it… I’ve got it… I’ve got…. no, no I don’t.”  The apparent question is why not let go?  And the answer is, because then it wouldn’t be funny.

7.  “He’s got $39,000 tied up in that bike.”  That’s a good set up.

8.  I’ve often wondered what it would look like to see Hurley from “LOST” to crash on a moped. A little top-heavy I think.  FFWD to about the 1:00 mark.  You’ll thank yourself later.

9.  This one is short but sweet.  It reminds me of “Excitebike” for Nintendo from when I was a kid.  Man I loved that game.  But I think that I might even love this kids “Wild Eagle” dismount even more.

10.  Lastly, I’d like to leave you with a nice compilation.  An assortment, if you will, of some wonderfully tragic and sadly humorous idiots on motorcycles.  Especially enjoy the moments at 1:33 (where I’m pretty certain that’s Vanilla Ice) and at 1:43 (where the cameraman decides to continue filming the riderless motorcycle, and not his friend who has just fallen into the path of oncoming traffic).
